Agriculture scientist M.S. Swaminathan said here on Saturday that the State government or Kerala Agriculture University should take steps to establish a research and training centre on below sea-level farming at Kuttanad. Speaking on 'Genes for Management of Climate Change' at the Kerala University Department of Botany, Kariavattom campus, Dr. Swaminathan said that this was one way of coping with the challenge of rise in sea-level as a result of global warming.
